at least once a week i try to reserve a day for being creative. i like to wake up semi early, make my coffee and head to the basement with peters to work. i normally turn on music and troll through instagram before i start to get any actual work done. most days i have something planned out to work on but sometimes i really love to just sit and let the paint take whatever form it feels like. look at me sounding like such a hippie. but truly, some of the best things come from leftover paint.i am so very thankful that when God was creating me, he decided to give me a gift and make me passionate about art. it is such a big part of my life and i think i would explode if i couldn't work out my issues through painting/drawing. here are some pictures from the studio (extra bedroom haha) this was before it got extremely messy. . . as you can see by them i have been trying my hand at abstracts. some work out better than others but it is actually pretty fun and i'm using my favorite theory which is color theory and it really has been good.

ReplyDeleteI can't say I am artistic in that way (although that would be a gift) but I truly do love the space you work in. It's beautiful and somewhat refreshing.
